Is your hair in need of a little tender loving care? If so, I have five hair masks for dry hair that will get you silky, smooth and nourished hair. It is what we ladies dream about, right? I mean when you picture yourself doing a shampoo commercial your hair is always luxurious and shiny instead of dry and lackluster.

It is imperative to understand the root cause of dry hair. With knowledge you can take action and get the locks you desire. Dry hair develops when your hair does not get or retain enough moisture. This reduces it sheen and make it appear frizzy, dry and dull. So, what is needed are a few quick DIY hair masks for dry hair. Do-it-yourself hair masks for dry hair are the perfect way to restore lost moisture and shine without the extra cost of special hair care products. Plus, these masks are a quick fix for your hair problems!

“Hair masks are intense conditioners that have more fatty acids and lipids in them which can return moisture to the hair and help protect it,” said James Corbett, celebrity hairstylist of James Corbett Studio in New York City and color director for Clairol. “When the hair is healthy, the cuticle stays closed, which means less frizz and your color looks better because light reflects off your hair. Masks can help repair what styling and the environment takes out.”

There are many hair masks, but the ones mentioned below are the simplest and the easiest. The best part is that they work wonders when used regularly.
