Dec 29, 2016 - I don’t use retail products in my hair due to the hidden chemicals but a friend recommended the Wen products after a blowout. I ordered the products from Wen but waited until they arrived to investigate them. I will not be using them. Thank you for sharing this information.

Dec 15, 2016 - Wen shampoo was meant for Caucasian people and for people who are half Caucasian. I remember when I got my hair pressed my cousin who is a hair stylist had the Wen product on her dresser when I saw that she told me that my aunt got it for her hair. Last month, I heard that my aunt's hair started breaking out and she blamed my cousin for the hair breakage. My cousin did her research on the Wen shampoo product and she learned that many consumers reported that the shampoo was causing hair loss and there was a lawsuit going on and my cousin printed it out but my aunt didn't even listen to her and accused her for her hair. And my aunt was talking to her on the phone when she argued with her. Eventually my cousin told me that she hung her up because she was tired of listening to her yelling. Not only that she's pregnant and it gave my cousin stress. My aunt isn't very wise on her actions and she's around her 60's if I'm not mistaken.

Dec 13, 2016 - I'm natural and have been using Wen for 9 years. I've never had any of the problems people are experiencing.

Nov 30, 2016 - NO ONE Should use Wen - it will cause hair loss. Just happens quicker for some people. The damage may be permanent - don't take a chance. Check out what happened to my little girl after only two uses on her entire head. (second use was just neck down, and she lost chunks around her neck, third use all remaining hair instantly fell out) Search Eliana Lawrence in the subject.

May 19, 2016 - It depends on the person as like every other hair product. I have been using wen even before I became natural. I have been using it for 4 years and have been natural for 3 years. I use wen as a co wash and leave in conditioner. There are different types of wen products for different hair types. I use the pomegranate or fig since I have really curly thick hair. I do agree that eventually you will get a build up on the hair after multiple uses but thats also with any person that co-washes all the time. Wen helped me through the transition period from relaxed to natural and even now that my hair has been bleached and colored it adds the moisture back in my hair and helps retain my curls. I did hear about the lawsuit for wen but again every hair care product is not for everybody.

Jan 17, 2015 - I'm curious why you didn't tell us what you used to get rid of the wen build up

San dreezy Says:

Jan 17, 2015 - What did you use when you were using Wen. It could have been your other products that did that to your hair.
